Meet Our Team

PRACTICE OWNER- Azza Diasti , D.V.M

Dr. Diasti graduated from Cornell Veterinary College 2001 and also completed a one year externship in internal medicine and surgery at the Animal Medical Center in NY.  She joined Lakeside Animal Hospital in 2001, and has been practicing here ever since!dr_d_and_dogs2.jpg

Dr. Diasti purchased Lakeside Animal Hospital in 2003, and with the continuing success of the practice she had to expand to a new state of the art facility just south of her current location.  Dr. Diasti is committed to continuing education, and considers it indispensable in remaining current and developing specific skills. She enjoys working with companion animals and their owners, and has a special interest in dentistry, medicine, and soft tissue surgery. She has a son and daughter, she enjoys spending time with her family including the furry ones and also enjoys reading and traveling.




ASSOCIATE VETERINARIANS

Rosalyn Randall , D.V.M.

dr randall.jpgDr Randall graduated from Michigan State University Veterinary School in 1972. She practiced small animal medicine and surgery in an AHAA practice in her home state of Maine until moving to Florida in 2006.

Joining the Lakeside staff in November 2009, Dr Randall continues to enjoy practicing in a quality facility with clientele committed to their pet's health.

Dr Randall is a member of the Pasco Hernando Veterinary Medical Association. She enjoys continuing her education through PHVMA and Florida Veterinary Specialists. Dr Randall enjoys competing in triathlons and is a member of the Pinellas YMCA.

Cynthia Hobson , D.V.M.

dr hobson.jpgDr Hobson is a 1995 graduate from Ohio State University. She and her family are "snowbirds", as they enjoy spending summers in the Fingerlakes, NY and winters here in Tampa. Dr Hobson has a passion for companion animal medicine and a special interest in orthopedic surgery. She enjoys getting to know our furry friends as well as their owners.

She and her husband have two young daughters and a very eccentric cat. She loves traveling and running in her spare time.


TECHNICIAN STAFF

Charan Favazza , Veterinary Nursecharan.jpg

Charan has been in the veterinary field for the last 7 years. In the last year and a half she joined Penn Foster college to pursue her degree in Veterinary Technology. 

During her time at Lakeside Animal Hospital she started a patient weight loss program and loves giving client education on dental hygiene for their furry companions. She has 2 dogs and two spoiled little kitties.

Jenifer Pierce, Veterinary Nurse

Jenifer has been a Veterinary Technician for 5 years.  She is currently pursuing her Bachelors at the University of South Florida in Biomedical Sciences and a minor in Public Health.  She is the President of the Pre-Veterinary Society at USF and is planning to become a Veterinarian.  She loves to promote client education and help the local community.  One of her favorite procedures, as a technician, is dental cleanings.  She advises you bring your pets in to see her for annual exams/cleanings.

 She is the proud owner of two dogs, two cats, and two ferrets. In addition to caring for her pets, she fosters kittens. She trains them to use the litter box, play with toys, as well as how to be handled. She also teaches them patience and perseverance when getting their ongoing care like ear cleanings, nail trims, and medical care.  They are started on a healthy diet of Royal Canin to promote greater health at the beginning of their lives.  If you need advice on puppy and kitten care, talk to Jenifer about how to start proper health habits with your new pet.


CLIENT CARE STAFF

Adriane Kennedy , Client Care Coordinator

adriane.jpgAdriane has been with Lakeside Animal Hospital for over 10 years. Her love of animals and friendly personality lead her to the veterinary field. She loves every aspect of her job, but has a passion for making patients feel comfortable and clients feel welcome both in person and on the phone.

In her free time she loves to spend time with her finance Frank and son Dallas as well as her Great Dane "Tai" and multiple cats. .                                                                                                                                              

lyla.jpgLyla Pelzer , Client Care Specialist

Lyla is originally from Wisconsin, but relocated to Florida in 1986. She enjoys nature and sketching. Lyla and her husband Paul currently have a family of five cats and one dog.


KENNEL STAFF

April Pearce , Kennel Coordinator

April graduated from the University of Maine in 2006 with a B.S. in Zoologyapril bio pic.jpg and a minor in Chemistry. She then continued her education at Montana State University, graduating with a M.S. in Entomology in 2008. She knew from an early age that she wanted to work with animals and recently spent two years training dogs before pursuing an interest in the veterinary field. April looks forward to adding her knowledge of training to the resources available at Lakeside. She is the proud owner of a German Shepard mix, Beagle and Foxhound, as well as four kitties.

Cesar Crovo , Kennel Attendant

cesar.jpgCesar has been at Lakeside for a year and a half, and is currently completing pre-vet requirement courses at USF, and will be attending vet school within the next two years. When he stated at Lakeside he had Oreo, a cocker spaniel, and since then he added Blue, a staffashire to his family.   Whenever he's not studying or playing soccer he usually walks those two around the neighborhood for hours at a time. 

Greg Chayet Professional Pet Groomer 

Greg_s_online_photo.bmpGreg Chayet has been grooming professionally since 1985 in the Tampa Bay area.  He has tested & received National Certification status in the Non-Sporting group from the National Dog Groomers Association of America. He has also Championed one of his Standards and is near completion of his second 
     An expert in the art of hand scissoring, breed profiling, and balance;  Greg strives to make each client look as good as possible, like they just walked out of the show ring!    Attention to detail, proper coat treatments and bathing, as well as correct drying methods will assure a correct and beautiful groom for your pet.  Greg believes in positive reinforcement and repetitive training methods to ensure your pet has an enjoyable and happy experience  during the grooming process
     Owner and Breeder of Champion Standard Poodles he is consistently traveling the country assisting with some of the Top Ranked show dogs in the country.  Recently back from Maryland and the National Poodle Specialty his own Standard Poodle "Katy" made the final cut in her class amongst many of the worlds best Poodles.  The attendance of dog shows and tutelage from world renowned Handler/Breeder Kay Peiser assures you of the most informed and continually educated groomers in the area.
  Show trims, coat care and hand stripping are also available after consultation.
